Join our Operations team and play a hands-on role in managing and improving the daily
functions of our business. You'll be responsible for overseeing DEXA machine installations, coordinating repairs, and working with contractors and internal teams to keep BodySpec's equipment running smoothly across all locations. You’ll contribute to innovative projects that support BodySpec’s
national expansion and enhance service delivery.

First-year Production and Support Specialists in Austin can expect to earn up to $70,200 in total
cash compensation, plus equity.

Why You’ll Love This Job

You’ll thrive here if:

  • You enjoy solving technical problems—whether it's diagnosing a machine issue, coordinating a repair, or overseeing an installation—and you take ownership of every step from start to finish.
  • You're comfortable traveling frequently to job sites and working hands-on with equipment and contractors.
  • You like working with your hands—whether it's assembling equipment, running wiring, or using power tools in a workshop environment.
  • You bring some mechanical or technical experience—or, more importantly, a strong willingness to learn.
  • You stay calm and solutions-focused under pressure, especially when managing issues across multiple locations simultaneously.
  • You're excited about scaling improvements that impact the entire team and supporting major growth initiatives nationwide.

What You’ll Do

  • DEXA Installations: Travel frequently to existing and new BodySpec locations to supervise and sign off on machine installations. Ensure all equipment is properly configured, tested, and ready for operation before handoff.
  • Repair Coordination: Work with external contractors to diagnose, repair, and prevent issues across BodySpec facilities. Coordinate and communicate repair timelines across multiple teams, and ensure all work meets BodySpec standards.
  • Remote Troubleshooting & Documentation: Work remotely with BodySpec employees to execute repairs and troubleshooting procedures. Record and document all steps of the process to maintain a clear history and enable continuous improvement.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as a first responder for equipment issues affecting daily operations across multiple states. Proactively communicate with the broader team to help reduce downtime and improve service quality.
  • Production & Assembly: Assist with equipment builds, wiring, and assembly projects in our Austin workshop. Use hand tools and power tools to fabricate, test, and prepare components for deployment across BodySpec locations.
  • Operations Support: Monitor daily reports and logs to ensure optimal equipment performance and uptime. Assist with parts inventory management for both repairs and new installations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Mechanical experience is a strong plus—but not required. What’s essential is your enthusiasm to learn and apply technical skills.
  • Ability and willingness to tracel frequently to BodySpec locations across multiple states.
  • Members of the Operations team share responsibility for monitoring and managing emergency issues, including some weekend on-call coverage.
  • Strong organizations and communication skills-you'll be coordinating across internal teams, field employees, and external contractors simultaneously.
  • Primary work will be based in our Austin, TX office, with occasional travel to other BodySpec regions.
  • Standardized Test Scores: If you’ve taken any standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, ASVAB, or others, we request you to share your scores. This is not a requirement and will not be a sole determining factor for hiring decisions, but it helps us learn more about our candidates since we do not conduct pre-employment testing.

Compensation
  • Base Salary: $60,000
  • Performance Bonus: Up to 7% of base salary annually ($4,200) - half paid in cash ($2,100), half in stock options

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
