About Us: We are a fast-growing startup in health & wellness industry, committed 

to offering affordable DEXA body composition testing and other health services. As 

our company scales, we are seeking a versatile and highly motivated Senior 

Financial Analyst to be the first hire on our finance team. In this critical role, you will

work directly with our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and work across strategic 

finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and accounting initiatives. This is a 

unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across a variety of functions within the 

finance department and shape the future of the team from the ground up.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance:

  • Collaborate with the CFO and executive leadership team to evaluate new initiatives and growth opportunities using detailed financial analysis
  • Provide strategic insights into resource allocation, cost optimization, and potential investments to maximize the company's growth trajectory.
  • Drive scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to prepare the company for various financial outcomes and market conditions.
  • Play a key role in fundraising activities by developing financial models, creating investor presentations, and supporting due diligence processes.
 

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Work closely with the CFO to develop and maintain complex financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support long-term financial planning.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of business performance, identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunities to influence decision-making.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and create actionable insights for operational and strategic improvement.
  • Lead variance analysis, identifying deviations between actual financial results and budgeted forecasts, and provide recommendations for corrective action.
 

Controller & Financial Operations:

  • Establish and oversee accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting systems to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead efforts to automate financial processes, improving operational efficiency across the finance function.
  • Work with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams to manage audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA, CFA, or MBA is highly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate finance, FP&A, or accounting roles. Prior experience with multi-site businesses such as (but not limited to) hospitals, dental clinics, gyms, restaurants, and retailers is a plus
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting with advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, index match and complex formulas.
  • Experience with Quickbooks, Tableau, and SQL a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and experience managing financial reporting and accounting systems.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in implementing and improving financial controls, processes, and systems to drive scalability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.
